located in the Viera area of Melbourne, is very much a part of this Jewish way of life, serving over 200 families throughout
the county.
Temple Israel is affiliated with the Union
of Reform Judaism (URJ) and is Brevard County’s only Reform Jewish congregation served by a full-time Spiritual Leader.
Temple Israel was founded in 1965, built its first temple in 1979, and moved to its present building in 1997.
Our congregation covers the entire spectrum of Jewish life: families
with young children, single and married adults, and retired individuals and couples, all participate in congregational activities.
Temple Israel is noted for its friendly atmosphere and provides traditional Reform Jewish worship and religious education
suited to the contemporary needs of our growing congregation.
