Pat Catalano has had the honor of working at Temple Israel since 1994. She is a member of the National Association of Temple Administrators.

Pat was born in New York. She moved to Merritt Island in 1990 with her husband Pete and their daughter Christina. The Catalano's are animal lovers and have 4 dogs (Ben, Roxie, Zoey & Miles) and 2 cats (Naomi & Pippin.)

Matt Humphrey has been with Temple Israel for the last 5 years. He is our chief maintenance man, domestic engineer, caterer, and fix it guy. Matt lives on Merritt Island with his wife Carrie and dog Gizzy.

Cantor Patricia Ernest Hickman came to Temple Israel in July of 2003 as the congregation's Spiritual Leader.

She brought with her insight, talent and skill developed as a result of her wide range of educational and professional experiences. She attended Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion where she received her Master in Sacred Music in 1989 and was invested as Cantor.

Over the past 19 years she had served Temple Emanuel in Livingston, New Jersey, Congregation Ahavath Chesed in Jacksonville, Florida and Temple Beth Ami in Rockville, Maryland bringing her warmth and spiritual presence into the lives of her congregants of all ages. Her many innovative programs, adult education classes, spirituality retreats, musical happenings, pastoral care and nurturing of Temple youth show her love and dedication to her calling.

Cantor Hickman is married to Ray Hickman, former manager of WJCT, Jacksonville’s public radio station. They make their home in Satellite Beach with their daughter Jenny and their 5 cats!
