TEMPLE ISRAEL
SISTERHOOD
Organized
in 1965, the Temple Israel Sisterhood now includes more than 100 members. The Sisterhood promotes friendship among its members
as well as supporting the highest ideals of Judaism and furthering the goals of Temple Israel.
Sisterhood sponsors various religious, social and educational activities, including at least
two general membership meetings each year. One of Sisterhood’s special projects is the Judaica Shop,
which provides our members and the community with many different Jewish religious materials and artifacts. Sisterhood
also organizes the weekly Oneg Shabbat, the Congregational Passover second night Seder and many other activities of service
to the congregation.
